Job Opening for a Project Manager (Orange County)

Southern Cross Property Consultants, a boutique construction management and architecture firm working primarily with nonprofit, volunteer led organizations is seeking a Project Manager to join our Operations team in our new Orange County office.  This organized, service oriented individual will serve, individually or as the leader of a larger team in overseeing every aspect of construction projects from site evaluations to contract close-out.   In addition to exceptional interpersonal skills, a successful candidate must be able to work independently as a representative of our clients and our company on a variety of construction and consulting projects.

Our dependable and optimistic Project Manager utilizes a strong attention to detail while representing the interest of both the client and the company.  His/her duties include: managing project costs and schedules; developing and maintaining good working relationships with clients, company personnel and other vendors; ensuring projects are completed according to construction and contract documents; preparing bid documents and analyzing the bid information as it is submitted; developing Request for Proposals (RFP) for architects, contractors, consultants and vendors; and performing recordkeeping, administrative, and office support tasks associated with each project.

Besides a strong work ethic and a passion for customer service this creative problem solver should have:

  • 4 year degree in construction management, engineering or architecture (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in construction and/or facilities management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Experience in reconstruction, renovation, multi-family housing/ Homeowner Association projects is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation, benefits and work schedule are negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
